Job Announcements with Clallam County Parks

Seasonal Park Rangers - Positions generally work April through October, however the duration of the season and job conditions vary for each park and facility. This recruitment is for multiple, seasonal positions in the following positions:
Dungeness Recreation Area
Salt Creek Recreation Area
Camp David Jr.
Day Use Parks
Clallam County Fairgrounds
Clallam County Juvenile Center

This recruitment is open until filled; your immediate response is requested as interviews could be scheduled at any time and positions may become filled prior to your application being received. For best consideration, apply as soon as possible. The Parks Department is currently accepting applications to fill the positon of Seasonal Park Ranger I and II. This is an outstanding opportunity to work in the outdoors - perform tasks in landscape; custodial; visitor services; etc. Some work may require skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and landscape maintenance. This job, may at times, perform heavy physical labor for extended periods of time requiring frequent lifting and carrying objects of 50+ pounds. Work will primarily consist of an outdoor environment and exposure to all types of weather and terrain will be required. Here's the link:

Maintenance Worker I - Full-time position where the applicant must possess certain skills and knowledge for each given setting, and possess skills in performing routine, reparative, and preventative maintenance in diverse settings. This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team of individuals providing support for a variety of functions across the County. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional conduct and be comfortable serving in highly confidential situations. Candidates can expect to work in an environment that is service oriented. It is essential for the candidate to have excellent verbal skills, as well as a documented work history of integrity and dependability. The hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some weekends and evening hours may be necessary in certain situations. Here's the link:

Volunteer Building and Barn Superintendents needed for 2018 Fair - Superintendents are needed for several buildings and exhibition space for the 2018 Fair. The superintendents work with other volunteers to display the entries and schedule help throughout the Fair. For more information, please contact the Fair Office at 360-417-2551.
