Tax Foreclosure Sales


The next tax foreclosure sale will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 9 am in the Commissioner's Meeting Room in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. 4th Street, Port Angeles, WA. A list of parcels heading to tax foreclosure sale is tentatively scheduled to be published in the Peninsula Daily News on September 13, 2017.

The last day the Treasurer's office can accept payments to redeem a parcel from the tax foreclosure sale is Thursday, December 7, 2017, before 4:30 p.m. Payment must be made in cash, or by certified check, cashier's check, or money order.

Bidders must register for the foreclosure sale, and sign the 2017 Terms of Sale, on the morning of the sale between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. in the Treasurer´s Office, then proceed to the Commissioner´s Meeting Room. The information needed to register will be your name, how the Treasurer's Deed should be made out, and your mailing address. Please remember these are buyer-beware sales. It is completely up to you to research any property you are considering bidding on. Title reports on the subject properties are available for review in the Clallam County Treasurer´s Office and may be made available below closer to the time of sale.

The tax foreclosure sale properties are offered on a "whereas" and "as is" basis, and the County makes no representation or warranty, expressed or implied, nor any guaranty of warranty, expressed or implied, as to the condition of title to any property, nor the physical condition of any property or its fitness for any use or purposes. Bidders are further advised that certain properties may be subject to easements or use restrictions set forth in the Covenants, Rights, and Restrictions of certain plats, as well as in zoning and other land use controls. Certain properties may be, or contain, “wetlands” or other “critical areas,” or may be designated as "Open Space", "Open Area," "permanent Open Area," "Common Area," or similar designations, and as such, may be subject to restrictions which include, but are not limited to, prohibitions on placing improvements on such properties. Bidders are further advised that Clallam County does not warrant or make any express or implied representations regarding the physical condition of any property including, but not limited to, whether the property is contaminated with hazardous waste or contamination from any source.
