Jim Jones, Jr. is the Clallam County Administrator, appointed on May 16, 2006. Prior to his appointment as County Administrator, Jim spent the previous nine years as the Executive Director for Business & Operations with the Port Angeles School District, and for seventeen years before that in various administrative and supervisory roles with First Federal Savings & Loan of Port Angeles. Jim returned to the Olympic Peninsula, with his wife Debbie, upon leaving active duty as an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force in 1976.
Jim received an AA degree from Peninsula College, a BA in Business from the University of Washington, and an MBA equivalent degree from the Institute of Financial Education at the University of Texas. He has also completed numerous executive, leadership and administrative training programs throughout his professional career. Jim remains very active in many civic, youth sports and charitable organizations in the Port Angeles area.
